Stranger than Independence
This will eventually be something.
What can "independence" really mean 1) in the film world, which is dependent upon collaboration, not to mention audiences, and B) in this early-21st-century capitalism with so many bills to pay?
That's what this will think about. I wrote about it in grad school 25 years ago, but those thoughts need some re-examining from this new vantage point ("I was so much older then - I'm younger than that now," as Dylan wrote).
